Alaska PFD 2026: Who Gets the $1,200 Payment With the $200 Energy Relief Bonus?

Alaska’s 2026 Permanent Fund Dividend is worth $1,200 per eligible recipient, a $1,000 dividend plus a $200 energy relief payment. The state will issue payments in two major October rounds.

October 2026 Alaska PFD payment dates

  • October 1, 2026: Direct deposits for eligible online applicants who selected direct deposit and reached “Eligible-Not Paid” status by September 18.

  • October 22, 2026: Payments for eligible applicants who reached “Eligible-Not Paid” status by October 12. This includes online and paper applications, with payment by direct deposit or check.

Paper checks will begin mailing from Juneau on October 22, so delivery times may vary.

Applicants who miss either cutoff may receive their payment in a later monthly distribution once their application becomes eligible.

Who qualifies for the 2026 Alaska PFD?

To qualify, applicants generally must:

  • Have lived in Alaska throughout 2025.

  • Intend to remain Alaska residents indefinitely.

  • Not claim residency in another state or country.

  • Meet Alaska’s rules for absences from the state.

  • Meet the required physical-presence standard.

  • Not be disqualified because of certain felony convictions or incarceration.

The qualifying year for the 2026 dividend is 2025. The official Alaska PFD eligibility requirements explain the residency, absence and criminal-history rules.

How to check your payment

Applicants can track their application and payment status through myPFD. Make sure your mailing address and direct-deposit information are current.

The Alaska Permanent Fund Division payment page also provides official schedule information.

Bottom line

Eligible Alaskans may receive the $1,200 2026 PFD payment on October 1 or October 22, depending on when their application reached “Eligible-Not Paid” status and whether they chose direct deposit or a paper check.

The payment includes both the $1,000 Permanent Fund Dividend and the $200 energy relief payment.
